Riding Through the Storm: Battling Symptoms on the Trail to Recovery

As I look back through my life, there were many signs and symptoms along the way.  The signs were not apparent to me that they were caused by Hg toxicity.  Hg is different from ordinary toxins as it interferes with all of the metabolic processes and causes hundreds of symptoms.  Symptoms can change, come and go, and progress.  My symptoms were (and in some cases, still are):

·      Inability to focus

·      Memory loss

·      Brain fog

·      Insomnia

·      Anxiety

·      Allergic reactions – certain foods, cleaning products, nail polish (to name a few)

·      Confusion

·      Constant urination

·      Easy to sunburn

·      Adrenal gland issues

·      Joint pain – specifically my knees and wrists

·      Loss of balance

·      Nerve pain

·      Loss of grip

·      Fatigue and overall tiredness

·      Crazy thoughts

·      Itching

·      Tinitus

·      Chemical sensitivities

·      Irritability

·      Restless legs

·      Severe gout

After completing over 100 rounds of chelation, I can confidently say I’ve made progress in all my symptoms. But healing is an ongoing journey, and it takes a combination of daily practices to keep me moving forward. Beyond chelation, I incorporate a variety of therapies and modalities to support my body and mind, including sauna and cold plunges, lymphatic massage, pelvic floor physical therapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, plant medicine, coffee and urine therapy, SO MANY epsom baths, essential oils, cranial sacral therapy, colonics, castor oil packs on my liver, regular exercise and yoga, red light therapy, antiviral and antibacterial supplements, sound baths, meditation, Reiki, and a clean diet. Each of these plays a role in keeping me upright, resilient, and ready to take on the day.

Looking back, I often wonder how different my path might have been if I had understood the impact of Hg toxicity sooner. Would I have been able to prevent some of the struggles along the way? One moment that stands out is losing my gallbladder in 2019. While traveling for work, I had a severe attack and spent the better part of a day curled up on the office floor in unbearable pain. By the time I finally made it to the ER late that night, the only solution offered was painkillers and, eventually, surgery a week later. I can’t help but ask myself—if I had known then what I know now, could I have avoided this? The optimistic side of me believes, absolutely, yes. I’ll never truly know, but what I do know is that I continue to face challenges, from digestive issues to inflammation and elevated blood markers. And so, my journey to healing continues.
